Dhikala Zone Reopens 15th Nov 2014

With the reopening of “Dhikala Zone” Corbett National Park on 15th Nov tourists enjoyed jeep safari at the heart of the Corbett. Almost all the safari roots have reconstructed by the forest department. At the first day visitors enjoyed excellent tiger sighting at the Thandi Sadak, Sambhar Road and Ram Singh Road. As per Corbett Tiger Reserve all the rooms of Dhikala, Gairal and other rest houses are packed up to 31th of Decembers by online room booking facility. To enhance the day visitors inside Dhikala zone Canter safari facility will start up to 20th of November. Those tourists don’t get booking for forest lodge stay can sat outside the CTR gate and book day visit canter safari permits.
Things to seen at Dhikala Zone CTR
Flora- A total of 488 different species of plants, Palms, Sal forests, Chaurs, Khair-Sissoo forests, and rivers have their distinct assemblage of plants, herbs, bamboos, Shrubs, grasses and climbers.
Fauna - 586 species of resident and migratory birds, Bengal Tiger, Leopards, Jungle cat, fishing cat and leopard Cat. barking deer, Sambhar Deer, Hog Deer and Chital, Sloth and Himalayan black bears, Indian grey mongoose, otters, yellow-throated martens, Himalayan goral, Indian pangolins, and Langur and Rhesus macaques.
